Ok so we have a lot of different kinds of bikes here right?   Well, even the venerable standard bicycle has evolved with us ..

An e-bike is a bicycle with an electric motor to help you along. … An e-bike motor works by automatically switching on the (quiet) motor when you pedal. There are two major different types of motor: motors that are in the wheel hub, and motors that are in the crank.  There are a few others out there but mostly these are the kind you’d encounter.

Class 1 eBikes are just like regular bicycles but with a little bit of added assistance so you’ll need to pedal at all times to keep the bike moving. … Class 2 eBikes don’t require you to pedal and feature a throttle which can be a lever or a ‘twist-and-go’ system.  Class 3 eBikes have both and can be used in either mode, but in Texas they are required to use a speedometer and don’t go over a maximum speed!

When we ride a bike, we experience a little bit of freedom. And this happens every day we get in the saddle. Our bike takes us right where we want to go – no getting on and off, no waiting and no looking for a parking space. The environmentally friendly and healthy option, and all under our own steam. We cyclists can choose a different route every day. The city and countryside are ours to discover anew. A chance to make some surprising acquaintances. And simply get more in touch with life. Freedom should be easy. And with our e-bikes powering you along, freedom should feel easier still.

F.I.V. Edoardo Bianchi S.p.A, commonly known as Bianchi ([ˈbjaŋki]) is the world’s oldest bicycle manufacturing company in existence, having pioneered the use of equal-sized wheels with pneumatic rubber tires. The company was founded in Italy in 1885 and in addition to bicycles it produced motorcycles from 1897 to 1967. In 1955 the joint-venture Autobianchi was created together with Fiat and Pirelli for the manufacturing of cars – Autobianchi was subsequently sold to Fiat in 1969.

Throughout its modern era, Bianchi has been associated with the Italian Giro d’Italia and Tour de France winners, Fausto Coppi,[1] Marco Pantani and Felice Gimondi.

So, how easy it it to convert your bike to an e-bike? Obviously that will depend on what your bike is, and what you’re fitting to it. Is it difficult? Well, not  usally –but if you’re starting from scratch you’d probably be better off entrusting the job to your local bike shop (like us!)  Mostly it’s a case of having the right tools, and knowing which way things unscrew. Fitting the brake levers and throttle, can be time consuming and require some additional know how to make right.    We can do most conversions within 3-4 shop hours of time.     More complicated system or additional customer requests can add more time.  We’ve been able to build conversions light enough to put on a rooftop or whi have hundreds of miles of endurance.  Come talk to us, bring your bike and let us look
